The Los Angeles Dodgers had no probles getting the win in Cincinnati over the Reds by a score of 9-3.  The Dodgers have been fighting for every win they could get and this one was much needed as they are now 8-12 on the season.

Brad Penny was the starting pitcher for the Dodgers throwing for six innings giving up six hits and only one run to the Reds.  This win put him at 3-2 for the year.  The closer Chan Ho Park picked up his first save of the season throwing the last three innings.

The Dodgers will stay in Cincinnati for one more night to take on the Reds tonight to see if they can sweep them in the series.

The Los Angeles Dodgers couldn’t get the hitting going again after only scoring one run in the fourth inning and losing to the Braves 6-1 in Atlanta on Sunday putting the Dodgers at 7-11 for the year.  They really need to pick up some more wins to get out of this losing slump.

Hiroki Kuroda is now 1-2 for the year after the loss to Atlanta on Sunday.  He pitched six innings before giving up the mound allowing seven hits and two runs to come in.  Joe Beimel and Scott Proctor finished the game for the Dodgers.  Proctor allowed five hits and four earned uns in his 1.2 innings of action.

Wasn’t a big hitting night for the Dodgers with the only big hit coming from Russell Martin
as he hits his second home run of the year.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will now battle against the Cincinnati Reds in Cincinnati on Monday
night.  They really need to hit the ball better on the road to have a chance at bringing the season back to where they want it.
