The Los Angeles Dodgers took the Pittsburgh Pirates to the woodshed on Tuesday night with an 11-2 victory.  The Dodgers were all over the Pirates pitching staff and scored on all three of their pitchers.  With the win, the Dodgers improved their record to 6-8 on the season.

Esteban Loaiza picked up his first win of the season as he pitched the final five innings and only gave up three hits and one run.  Loaiza was pitching in relief of starter Hong-Chih Kuo who pitched the first four innings of the game.  Luo only gave up two hits and one run during his four innings.

Jeff Kent hit a three-run home run and finished with three RBI to lead the Dodgers.  Andre Ethier had two RBI in the game while Rafael Furcal, Matt Kemp, James Loney, and Russell Martin all had one RBI.

The Los Angeles Dodgers were never really in the game last night as the Arizona Diamondbacks put a butt kicking on them by the score of 10-5.  The Dodgers really couldn’t figure out Doug Davis who was making his last start before having thyroid surgery.  Dodgers pitching also sucked as the Diamondbacks scored 10 runs off of 12 hits.

Chad Billingsly took the loss for the Dodgers.  Billingsly only lasted 2.1 innings in a terrible performance.  He gave up five hits, five runs (four were earned), walked three, and struck out one batter.

Hong-Chih Kuo stopped the bleeding for the next 3.2 innings as he didn’t allow a run, but after Kuo was done, Ramon Troncoso came into the game for an inning and gave up four earned runs on only two hits.  Jonathan Broxton pitched the 8th inning and also allowed an earned run.  Terrible job by the pitchers except for Kuo.

Blake DeWitt and Jeff Kent both had two RBI’s each for the Dodgers.  Andre Ethier picked up the other RBI.

The Los Angels Dodgers had no answer for Mark Reynolds and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night as the Diamondbacks went onto beat the Dodgers 9-3.  Reynolds hit two of the Diamondbacks four homeruns on the night.

Besides Reynolds, Orlando Hudson and Chris Young also went deep for the Diamondbacks.

Esteban Loaiza started the game for the Dodgers and only lasted four innings as he gave up four earned runs, and one homerun.  Chan Ho Park then came into the game and pitched 1.2 innings and let three runs score, one which was earned on a homerun.  Scott Proctor was the other Dodgers pitcher that pitched poorly as he only lasted one inning and gave up four runs on two homeruns.  Terrible pitching performance today by the Dodgers.

Jeff Kent was pretty much the only offense for the Dodgers.  He went two for four with a homerun and two RBI.  The Dodgers need more production out of others in the lineup if they want to win some of these games on the road.
