Chad Billingsley pitched a superb game going 7 innings with only 4 hits and no runs. The Dodgers seemed poised to win again with Jonathan Broxton getting on the mound. People were already closing the book on the Mets who left 23 men on base all game. But Broxton did not have the stuff today giving up a double then a home run to Carlos Beltran. To tie the game then leaving Broxton in in hopes of saving some face. Then Carlos Delgado gets a single then a sac bun and a intentional walk later Broxton gives up a single to Fernando Tatis and the Mets move into the lead.

Then comes the in my opion best closer in the mlb Billy Wagner. He stuck out the side and the Dodgers lose another heartbreaker. To fall below 500. The good news however is that the Diamondbacks are within a slump as well. Leaving the dodgers on 3 and half games behind first place. Someone is looking down on the dodgers and guiding them threw because I don’t know how any teams could lose this much and still have a shot at first place.

The Dodgers will figure out how to kill the rest of the day. Then tomorrow they will face off with the Mets for the last time in the series. I believe Hiroki Kuroda will take the mound tomorrow he will be opposed by Claudio Vargas. Kuroda’s main task will be keeping clam threw the 5th inning. He tends to get there with strong pitching but when he arrives in the 5th he starts to take on water.

Also again the name of the game will be hitting as in every game. James Loney needs to get on the ball going 0 for 4 today the whole team needs to step up. Going 1 for 4 is unacceptable especially when the entire team is 1 for 4. No one will pick the dodgers up to help them instead the coaching staff will stand on there throat and force them to become better. Not at all the all star break yet but seems like this season if not saved soon is already over…

Only thing that went wrong today was the mystique and awe of Clayton Kershaw disappeared. Kershaw who in his second outing of his career went 3.2 innings with 5 hits 4 runs and only 2 strikeouts. However the dodgers were able to stay strong with a good outing from Chan Ho Park who went another 3 innings. Only giving up 1 run on 2 hits his teammates made sure he was comfortable when he pitched. Because when Chan Ho allowed the run that put the Mets ahead every fan had to have though well this is normal now. But the dodgers blew the roof off of Shea Stadium in the 8 tagging Aaron Heilman for four runs on there way to the 9-5 losing streak and the end of the losing streak.

All systems were running clean and smooth as the bullpen was still strong the “Psycho” Takashi Saito. Along with set up man Jonathan Broxton the Dodger bullpen looked like what a 3rd best bullpen in the NL should look like. Unlike the trend they had going the dodgers only left 6 men on base compared to get into double digit’s the last couple games. While the Mets left 19 on base somewhat bring back the fact the Mets are still in a bad way. The dodgers will hope tomorrow to take advantage of the low Mets right now. While the fans yell for the head of Willie Randolph the dodgers hope to sneak in a punch and make another win.

The bats of the Dodgers are coming alive as they have been in the past couple days. Racking up 12 hits in this with only Luis Maza being the only starter without a hit. Two very good notes from the game on Being Andrew Ethier keep his I believe six game hitting streak going. Also Russell Martin going 4 for 4 with a home run and being a triple away from a cycle and knocking in 3 rbi’s. What ever Joe Torre said to the Dodgers last night must have worked very well. Either that or the Dodger just came together as a teams. It’s Darkest before it’s dawn lets hope the sun is finally coming for the Dodgers and there fans.

Chad Billingsley Will take the hill tomorrow in hopes of keep the one game winning streak alive. He will be opposed against Mike Pelfrey with a era of 5.33 he’s 2-6 and gives up a enormous amount of hits as opposed to strikeouts. While Billingsley is 4-6 with a 3.68 era with 67 strikes to his 49 hits. The test for billingsley with be if he can get into the or past the six inning when he goes to the sixth he is 4 and 2. His Pitch Count will also be a factor he tends to throw a lot of pitches and will go for the k rather then the popup or fly out.The Dodgers have two more games in there Cross the us tour then after they sleep in there own beds as they welcome in the Colorado Rockies. Then the cubs and then they will travel to Petco Park but that’s two weeks from now. For now the Dodgers will get some dinner maybe a shower and head back to the hotel and catch some z’s. Dream about getting that other win if they play the way they did today that should not be any problem.

The Los Angeles Dodgers pitched a good game on Tuesday night as they held the Cincinnati Reds to only six hits and one run in the game.  That is how you shut down an opposing team and pick up a good win!  The Dodgers ended up beating the Reds by the score of 4-1.

Chad Billingsley threw seven innings and only gave up four hits while striking out seven batters to pick up the win for the Dodgers.  Billingsley is now 4-5 on the season.  Jonathan Broxton pitched a scoreless eighth inning after Billingsley left the game.  Joe Beimel did give up one run in the ninth inning before closer Takashi Saito was brough in to get the last out and get his seventh save of the season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers used a big seventh inning where they scored six runs to come back and beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-2.  The Dodgers pounded out 11 hits as they scored the seven runs.  That is what happens when you have three home runs in the game.

Andruw Jones, Jeff Kent, and Gary Bennett all hit home runs in the seventh inning.  Bennett smoked a three run shot while Jones and Kent both had solo home runs.  Bennett finished the game with four rbi.  Russell Martin also had one rbi in the game for the Dodgers.

Chad Billingsley pitched seven innings and only gave up three hits and one run to pick up the win.  It was Billingsley’s third win of the season as he improved to 3-5.  Jonathan Broxton and Cory Wade pitched the final two innings.  Broxton did give up a solo home run in his inning of work.

The Los Angeles Dodgers hit three home runs on Monday night as they went onto defeat the New York Mets 5-1.  Rafael Furcal got things started with a lead off home run to start the game off of Oliver Perez.  Blake DeWitt and Matt Kemp both went deep in the fifth inning off of Perez as well.

Besides the RBI’s from Furcal, DeWitt, and Kemp, Russell Martin also had a RBI single in the first inning.  The Dodgers only struck out three times in the game and only left seven guys on base.  It was a productive night at the plate.

Chad Billingsley picked up the win for the Dodgers as he tossed six innings of five hit ball.  He did allow one run while walking four batters and striking out four batters.  Joe Beimel, Jonathan Broxton, and Takashi Saito pitched the final three innings without giving up a hit.

The Dodgers are now 18-14 on the season and hope to continue their hot play as they play the Mets again on Tuesday.
