Authorities say San Francisco Giants pitcher Barry Zito was taken to a hospital following a two-car crash in West Hollywood. Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Joseph Morien says the car Zito was driving was hit broadside by another vehicle shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Sunset Plaza Drive.
